The manager of Galicia Calidade, a body dependent on the Regional Ministry of Economy, Industry and Innovation, Ana Méndez, met with the managers of the company Tartas La Abuela, at its facilities in O Pino (A Coruña), to present them with the certification accrediting the possession of the Galicia Calidade seal of guarantee, valid for the next thirty years, and which allows the company to add the distinctive sign in the different actions for its commercial promotion, as well as to include the new signage on its façade.
Tartas La Abuela is a company that was founded in 1981 by the Rodríguez Piñeiro family with one aim in mind: to make the highest quality Tarta de Santiago. Over the years they wanted to broaden their horizons from the sensibility of uniting art with gastronomy.
At this meeting, the head of Galicia Calidade highlighted the "commitment they maintain to traditional confectionery", to which they combine innovation and technology in their production, in order to satisfy the criteria of excellence expected by their customers.
