Mr. Conde highlights that the alliance between the triathlete Gomez Noya and Galicia Calidade “joins his prestige to one of the most unique brands of our land”

This Ferrolean athlete will wear Galicia Calidade Brand on his T-shirts; he will collaborate in promotional events and include it into his website and social networks

The Regional Minister of Economy and Industry, Francisco Conde, has signed a sponsorship agreement for the promotion of Galicia Calidade brand today with the Galician triathlete Javier Gomez Noya. Further more Mr. Conde stressed that this alliance "joins Mr. Gómez Noya’s prestige to one of the most unique brands of our land."

Mr. Conde, who was accompanied by the General Secretary for Sports, Jose Ramon Lete Lasa, said that during the next two years, Gomez Noya will wear Galicia Calidade brand in his public promotion activities. Also, the athlete from Ferrol will collaborate in events to promote the brand and will include it in its website and social networks.

"Mr. GĂłmez Noya already wears the name of Galicia worldwide, and now links his path to Galicia Calidade, said the Regional Minister, who explained that the brand tries "to identify the best things we have here " So, he continued, Galicia Calidade summarizes the Galician way to do things, "with humbleness and to the highest quality, characteristics which also define Mr. Gomez Noya very well."

The Minister of Economy and Industry said that the brand includes 53 companies and over 300 certified products, and is being extended to other sectors of the Galician economy in the context of Galicia Quality Strategy 2014-2016. "We continue working to incorporate Galicia Calidade to all the economic sectors. We have recently done it with biomass, with granite and tourism, and today we also do it with sports" tated Mr. Conde.

In this context, Mr. Gomez Noya showed his pride in "being Galician and bear the name of Galicia as another sponsor." "It's very nice and very motivating for me, and it is also a help to continue competing at the highest level," he remarked.

Additionally, the Secretary General for Sports, Jose Ramon Lete Lasa, emphasised Mr. Gomez Noya’s sporting career, “an example for the Galician and international sports." Current leader of the World Championship and of the World Ranking of the International Triathlon Union, Mr. Gómez Noya has already secured his place in the next Olympic Games.

Mr. Lete Lasa reminded that the Galician Center for Sports Modernization of Pontevedra is where the Galician triathlete trains when in Galicia. It is an infrastructure for which the Galician government is highly committed, and will improve its facilities during 2015 with an investment of 770,000 euros.
